I am extremely excited to introduce today’s giveaway company, Whimsey Lane Apparel, to you all.  I’m a mom of 4 and I enjoy fashion and nice clothing.  But do you often find that it’s hard to find something that fits just right?  Something that doesn’t show too much, or come up or fall down every time you bend  over?  For instance, this past week I found the most adorable dress; I was excited to try it on because I knew, just knew it was going to be perfect.  Unfortunately, it was just too short.  I was so disappointed.  Then I came home and saw what today’s giveaway was, and my blues quickly faded away because Whimsey Lane Apparel was just the kind of store I was looking for – fashionable dresses that are beautiful and flattering, but not at the cost of modesty.

Whimsey Lane Apparel is a new modest clothing company aimed at providing ready made modest dresses and swimwear for women and young women alike.  The founder Julia Smith originally designed swimwear under the name Black and White Apparel on Etsy.com to fill what she thought was a growing need.  She could never find a swimsuit that she felt had enough coverage but still had the flair she was looking for.  All of her swimwear and dresses were handmade and she could not keep up with the demand.  She and husband Tyler Smith decided it was time for a change of name to accomodate the many colors of clothing they wanted to provide, as well as have them available without a customer having to wait to have their order made.  Whimsey Lane Apparel was recently launched in October 2011 with some of their own designs, as well as some dress designs by local modest clothing designers.  When a woman dresses modestly, she should feel beautiful and dressed for her age.  No one wants to feel like they are wearing their Grandmother’s dress!!  Providing beautiful, chic, and modest clothing is the goal of Whimsey Lane Apparel.

Tis’ the season of shopping, more shopping and more shopping.  I’ll admit, I stayed away from the crowds on Black Friday, but I’ve been out since then and it hasn’t been too bad.  People have been polite, it hasn’t been too crowded and I even found a close parking spot at the mall today. 

One of my most favorite places to shop for unique holiday gifts is at the local boutiques around town.  Without fail, I have always found that perfect piece of jewelry, home decor, or even little toy that completes my Christmas shopping.
